Wash $2 per load. Dryers $0.25 per 15 minutes, but heavy load dried in 45 minutes =$0.75
This place is nasty! No joke. The machines were dirty and every surface of this place was dirty. I found someones weave in one of the washers. Lets not forget the fact that my clothes didn't even come out clean. Don't waste your money and time. Go somewhere else.
The Advertisement said the place was "Nice and Clean", but when I got there it was THE. MOST. DISGUSTING. laundry place I have ever been to. All the wash machines' detergent dispensers are caked with years of dirty grunge and detergent and some were growing bacterial cultures. The floor is covered in dirt and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. At least 30% of the machines are "Out of Service" and some machines gave me flashbacks to my childhood, so I suspect they are older than me.
I was desperate to clean my clothes, so I used the place. When I went to dry my clothes I found goo with hair and dirt sealed into it stuck in one dryer. The dryers take forever to dry-most likely because the lint screens aren't cleaned. The seating in there is dirty and disgusting. If you want to do laundry yourself, go elsewhere if you can. One word to sum this place up is "GHETTO".
This place is dirty, none of the washers have hot water. Don't bother wasting your money, has or time. The only decent thing was they refunded the money.
You've got to be thick skinned to do laundry here. It's not the cleanest and definitely not fancy, but if you check the machines inside that they are clean, you will get clean clothes for less than other washaterias. Large washing machine load will cost .50-.75 cents and dryers the same. I found that two machine loads of clothes fit great in one dryer. The very friendly lady behind the counter does not speak much English, so unless your Spanish is great; have Google translator ready! The strip center where Lucky Washateria is located is dingy and was a bit scary for me, but everyone was friendly and helpful. I did 4 loads of laundry and dried them; which took little over 2 hours. Total cost was $3.50 a bargain.
