They encourage you to give birth at Oakbend medical center on Williams way, which was a HORRIBLE hospital (see my review on it for details). They aren't accomendating either, only doing inductions 1 day a week at..guess where...OAKBEND MEDICAL CENTER. So kiss delivering at a specific hospital goodbye.
I've been seeing Dr. Nelson for about 3 years and now I'm expecting. She's awesome, knowledgeable and courteous. Staff is great at all locations.
When you get your blood taken it was done in a small exam room in their office. It is unprofessionally set up, because the room wasn't made for that. Low class set up. The Phlebotomist was dirty..she ripped the tape with her MOUTH..yes her mouth, and not with scissors. I should have said something, but I was shocked .
The Dr.'s expect you to do things their way, whether you are comfortable with it or not! I was told to stop breastfeeding my toddler when I was pregnant, although I had no health concerns. Dr. Nelson told me a previous miscarriage was probably caused by breastfeeding my toddler. VERY insensitive, as that was a very painful experience for me :-(.
Dr. Nelson routinely forgot my allergies and kept prescribing me medicine I could NOT take, and then when she would prescribe something new it was a controversial medicine.
Rios is amazing, she personable and sweet. My favorite lady in the front is Mercedes, I refuse to talk to anyone but her. She so helpful and amazing as well. Thank you ladies!
I love Dr Nelson! She delivered my first and now going on my second. She is so down to earth and is very sweet and really cares. She takes her time with you and it doesn't feel like she is in a rush. She also takes the time to explain everything. I had a high risk pregnancy but she made it easy and not scary at all.
I think Center for Woman's Health is the best place to go. I really enjoyed my experience with them. Dr.Rios is my doctor. She is awesome! Ever since I started going to see her I know that I made the best decision ever. She took great care of me and my baby girl Jasmine. She is one of those doctors that really and truly does care with her words of wisdom and her actions. I was always treated so good by all of the staff. Thank you Dr. Rios and staff at Center For Woman's Health!!
If you can get in I HIGHLY recommend the midwives at the Woman's Pavillion at Children's hospital. That was a wonderful experience for me.
